Amber Gittins is a contemporary Australian abstract artist creating bohemian style colour rich, floral, tropical and nature artworks from her studio in the beautiful Limestone Coast region of South Australia.
Amber completed a Bachelor of Visual Communication at the University of South Australia. Amber then spent 7 years traveling the world, living care free and exploring the cultures and wonders of our amazing world. Her time traveling certainly has had an impact on who she is now and her artworks also reflect this freedom.
Several career highlights include: Finalist in the 2024 Unearthed Art To Art Prize. Bluethumb Art Gallery's rising star and top best seller in 2021. Bluethumb's trending artist in 2020. Her abstract nature paintings are continuing to increase in popularity on Bluethumb - Australia’s largest online Art Gallery - for their beautiful joyful colour palettes and emotional connections with nature.
Amber has also been guest speaker on podcasts and blogs. Exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions. Finalist in the Art Lovers Australia Gallery art prize for 2020, 2019, 2018. She has been featured in Home Design Australia Magazine, Art Edit Magazine and Singapore’s Business Times.
Amber's unique boho style abstracts can be found in galleries and stockists around Australia and also on major online art galleries such as Bluethumb Art, Art Lovers Australia Gallery, Saatchi Art and Singulart. Amber has 100’s of paintings in private collections all around the world. She loves to hear the story of how someone connects with an artwork and receiving photos and lovely messages from her collectors is an absolute ‘icing on the cake’ moment.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My goal when painting is to express the joyful emotions through colour and to display a sense of personal freedom onto the canvas.
I love connecting with nature and the soft flowing organic shapes and brushwork allows me to feel that natural energy and rawness.
I am definitely drawn to the bohemian way of living and thinking and my art imitates this colour loving, free spirit and soul searching path.
My art incorporates the emotional memories and feelings of all the wonderful places I have traveled and explored and that I will continue to explore. Being close to nature is something I have always been drawn to, it creates a sense of inner peace and tranquility when I am present in it.
Painting nature is a form of meditation for me, it takes me into a world of being present, feeling true inner joy and contentment. Something that the outside world can often take away from us all. My art studio is my own sanctuary, where my inner passion and true self comes alive.
I want my art to connect with you, as it does with me, and help bring you happiness in this free spirited adventure that we call life.
