Amber completed a Bachelor of Visual Communication at the University of South Australia. Amber then spent 7 years traveling the world and working as a Graphic Designer before settling back home in Australia and is now a full time abstract floral and nature loving artist.
Amber’s abstract flower and nature original paintings are a representation of her inner desire to always look for the happiness within life's journey. Painting has become her form of meditation and joy. She loves to spend time going for walks in nature taking in the wonderful sounds, smells and colours around her. These fond memories are brought back into the studio and intuitively and lovingly expressed on the canvas.
Amber is also drawn to the sentimental feelings we have with flowers. Flowers have always been a universal way of expressing and connecting with others for hundreds of years. They can portray so many positive emotions and feelings such as love, happiness, friendship, caring, connection and just letting your loved ones know you are there for them when they need it. Amber loves to hear of similar wonderful stories and connections that also happen when people connect with her floral paintings.
She uses acrylics as she loves the fast drying time of acrylic paints, which helps in the creation of the natural flowing movement that give her that signature abstract painting style.
Amber loves exploring exciting colour combinations that bring a sense of happiness onto the canvas. Her colour palettes are ever changing, bright and adventurous and they all maintain that sense of joy and that passionate energy she wants us to feel.
Amber's unique nature abstracts can be found in galleries and stockists around Australia and also on major online art galleries such as Bluethumb Art, Art Lovers Australia Gallery, Saatchi Art and Singulart. Amber has 100’s of paintings in private collections in Australia and all around the world. She loves to hear the story of how someone connects with an artwork and receiving photos and lovely messages from her collectors is an absolute ‘icing on the cake’ moment.
